Fire Lums are a subspecies of Lums that were intended to appear in Rayman Origins, but ended up scrapped from the final game. They share several physical features from the regular Lums: long arms, short legs, big eyes and three protruding round teeth. However, they are red in color with a flaming head and don't bear wings. There is no information about how they would have worked in-game, as there are no gameplay videos or trailers featuring them. The artwork of a Fire Lum made its first appearance in the background of the game's official website, and made a new appearance in the remade launch site, along with other scrapped characters like the Photographer, the Piranhas, and the Soldiers. Their mischievous grin indicates that they may have been meant to be enemies. It is also possible that Fire Lums were turned into regular Lums by putting their fire out with the also scrapped Propeller ability.

A Fire Lum

Similar red lums are present within the files for the two mobile Rayman games: Rayman Jungle Run and Rayman Fiesta Run. Despite being updated with Legends-style smoothing, they are not used in either version. It is possible that these were updated but unused versions of the red Lums that would appear after collecting a Lum King in Rayman Origins. Their sprites depict an odd pose in which they strike a peace sign in front of the camera.

After years of absence, the Fire Lums finally made their official debut in the fighting game Brawlhalla, where they appear in one of Super Metal Rayman's animations. Here, they are collected by him as he bounces off of a Champibumper during one of his attacks.
