Archipelago

The Archipelago is visible in the bottom-left corner of the map of the Glade of Dreams

The Archipelago is a cluster of seven small islands, located in the Sea of Lums off the southeast coast of the Glade of Dreams. The Archipelago is never mentioned directly in any Rayman game; however, it is shown and labelled on the official map of the Glade of Dreams that was supplied with copies of Rayman 2: The Great Escape.

Since the valley in which the events of the original Rayman game take place appears to be located on a separate island from the Glade, it has been speculated that this island (called Rayman's island by official sources) is, in fact, one of the constituent islands of the Archipelago. This idea is neither proven nor disproven by any official material.

The Archipelago is visible in-game in the Isle of Doors, where one of its islands represents the Crow's Nest, and two others are visible in the background. It should be noted that the Isle is only a loose interpretation of the Glade.

The Isle of Doors forms a map of the Glade of Dreams when examined closely. Its compass rose indicates that the map of the Glade is oriented with west at the top, meaning that the Archipelago is to the southeast rather than the southwest. The Archipelago is not visible on this map.
