The Photographer
The Photographer is a character from the original Rayman game. He serves as a checkpoint in the game, where Rayman can come back to where he was last photographed should he lose a life. His face is never seen apart from a large eye, though he has blonde hair, and wears a chequered trench coat and blue shoes. In Rayman 2, he was replaced by the Green Lum checkpoints. When Rayman has to take his picture with the Photographer, a poster in front of him makes him look like he is very muscular, holding a surfboard and a sea shell. In Rayman Junior, he has to look like he is wearing a cloak like Mr Dark's whilst holding letters and numbers, while the Photographer wears a brown coat instead of a green one with red dots on it.
A different Photographer appears in Rayman Origins,it's a small blue-skinned creature with a feathered hat, very similar to a Teensie but with larger eyes, a larger mouth and long fingers.He works the same way he did in the original Rayman, as a checkpoint. He takes a photo atRayman, Globox, and the Teensies. The new poster shows what appears to be a skinny, loincloth-clad and wielding an axe, and a woman's body clad in armour and wielding a sword.
