Description

Glombrox appears to be an evil clone of Globox, much like how Raymesis is Rayman's evil double. This is supported by the fact that both Raymesis and Glombrox share the colour scheme of purple bodies and entirely yellow eyes, as well as the fact that Glombrox shares his height, fighting style and body shape with Globox. However, Rayman Legends reveals that he is just another member of Globox's species, and described by the Bubble Dreamer as a dangerous criminal with a poor personal hygiene.

Role in the game

Rayman Origins

OK...! Who let Glombrox out of his cage! That face...! That smell...! OY! Soap and water do not just bubbles make... Oy, Glombrox, you look positively horrifying.. Darktoons are such a bad influence... Play nice now, or we will smack you silly!

He is one of the three playable members of Globox's species in the game, and the only one who is not refered as Globox with a different color. He is the last unlockable character of the game, requiring all 246 Electoon cages to have been broken. He was confirmed as a playable character alongside Raymesis and The First King in the Halloween trailer of for Rayman Origins.

Rayman Legends

This once great hero has been possessed by Darktoons, and now spends his time trying to scare everyone. But it doesn't work so well as many people mistake him with Globox...
—In-game description, Rayman Legends

He returns as a playable character in Rayman Legends and can be unlocked once 40 000 Lums have been collected in the PC, Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Playstation Vita versions, 55 000 Lums in the Playstation 4 version, 75 000 Lums in the Wii U version and 100 000 Lums in the Xbox One version. The description the game provides for the character reveals that he was a once great hero who ended up being possessed by Darktoons, and now tries to scare inhabitants of the Glade of Dreams, but fails due to his resemblance to Globox.

Rayman Fiesta Run

He returns in Rayman Fiesta Run where he can be purchased for 1 500 Lums.
