The Spinneroo (also known as a Hoodlock or Kagguard) is a large, grey Hoodlum who allegedly worked as a prison guard. These Hoodlums carry heavy canonballs as malicious attacking weapons for any who try to bypass. These are casually wielded back and forth in normal gameplay but vigorously spun as the Spinneroo rotates in attack.

These Hoodlums typically act as barriers or blockages to paths. Fortunately, they are fairly light in weight and can be shifted backwards by simple shots - the Spinneroo is conventionally defeated by falling in marshland or lava, after being given several consecutive fists. A fully powered heavy Metal Fist is also sufficient to kill a Hoodlock.

Spinneroos also appear in the handheld adaptation of Rayman 3. In this game, they patrol back and forth on platforms, and Rayman must use his body-slam power to break the wooden walkways they use, thus killing them in a similar fashion to the Gorilla Pirates of Rayman 2.
