:::Carrot's pretty much nailed it, I'll just add that some modern 'smart' TVs also have built-in screenshot features but you'd have to watch out for upscaling. Anyway, emulation is what I would recommend in your case (PS2), and it's perfectly legal since you actually own the console and the games.
