Monik[1] is a scrapped character who was planned to appear in Rayman Raving Rabbids during its development, back when the game was still a platformer and before it eventually became a party game.
Monik is a fairy, and the girlfriend of André, the main antagonist in Rayman 3. She would have guided Rayman in a similar fashion to Murfy in the previous games.
During the events of the game, the obese and decadent Jabbit the Rabbid would have kidnapped and imprisoned Monik, along with the baby Globoxes, Rayman's girlfriend Simohne and Monik's boyfriend André, and it would have been left to Rayman to rescue them all. This was summarized by Michel Ancel who said in an interview that "Rayman will have to save the world, his girlfriend and the girlfriend of his old enemy and his old enemy too!"
