Large-mouthed fish are fish from the original game with an oversized mouth and teeth. They appear in the Caves of Skops, in the last phase of Eat at Joe's. Large-mouthed fish represent the main danger in this level. They try to bite Rayman when he is in sight, and it is recommended to duck. It is however possible, with perfect timing, to punch them when they jump. They somewhat resemble the piranhas from the earlier levels of the game.
They also appear in the Forest world from the Game Boy Advance adaptation of Rayman Raving Rabbids.
