Re: SOTM#123 – Freestyle – VOTE!
Well, Easter is celebrated in April, so the next theme could involve the rabbids, however I don't think that idea would be well received.

I own the Sega Saturn manual of the original Rayman, which includes the Italian and Spanish translations, I uploaded the scans on Google Drive: Link
Amazing contributions! Btw, I wonder if there would be any problem if we upload the Rayman manuals (that can obtained from the official Nintendo site) to the wiki. I tried to make a copy of them in the Wayback Machine, but it seems that those urls are excluded from the site (possibly because of Nintendo's request).

Re: Pluses (+) and minuses (−) of this day
+ Going to go through my backlog and beat some games. Need to finish the Spyro Reignited Trilogy.

Re: Rayman Headcanons
My personal headcanon is that none of the Rayman type characters in Legends are actual separate characters, and are indeed just Rayman wearing goofy costumes (or lack thereof in the case of Rayomz). All except for Raymesis who as far as I’m concerned is just Dark Rayman’s form before he changed to the all black form that is seen in the invaded levels.

< went out to buy bread from a supermarket and saw the minds of people messed with due to this virus nonsense for <'s self.

Seriously. < is cool with playing it safe. But straight up worrying about things is not the way.

"Territorio della Banda"? Really? Talk about the worst of all worlds… :boon:
Yeah, clearly not all translations are born equal. It's the oldest official name we have, though.
Pity it doesn't seem to have occurred to any official translator to use "Cielo Cromatico" though. (Unless I'm missing some obvious reason it wouldn't work as well in Italian? :oops2:)

Re: The You Game!
< has just been trying out different hardware in a computer build since we're supposed to stay in anyway. < wonders how long this would take to end, even if people obeyed the guidelines.

Re: Names in other languages?
r1 russian translation?? oh this slaps
i do wanna bring up something related. how much do unused lines count as official name translations?? cause since uglette and tarayzan were both planned to be in origins their descriptions did get translated. think we only found what uglettes russian name was though which is мурлетта (viewtopic.php?p=1364751#p1364751)
some other unused descriptions do mention other characters too so its worth looking into i feel

Today marks the twelfth birthday of our community. A new Rayman game, Rayman Adventures, was announced last month and should be available this fall. As for Pirate-Community, 89,132 messages were posted on its forum last year, totalling 1,049,153, over the million milestone for the first time. RayWiki now boasts 4349 articles in seven languages, 1931 more than last year. Several additions were made to RayTunes, notably the new high-quality Rayman 3 soundtrack and the Tonic Trouble and Beyond Good & Evil soundtracks.

Major work is also planned on the website and more information should be available in autumn. In the meantime, we count on you to keep making this place the one and only Rayman community.

Long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!

Our forum, the largest ever, now contains 960021 messages, with 163312 posted last year, 49563 more than our previous record. RayWiki, the most complete collaborative encyclopedia, now features 2418 articles in five languages, 565 more than a year ago. RayTunes has seen new additions to its incredible music database, the Rayman 3 Hall of Fame is still active with new records being broken, and RaySaves, a new hub for Rayman savegames, has recently joined Pirate-Community and is being developed.

Rémi Gazel, who composed most of the soundtrack of the original Rayman, unveiled a project which consists in replaying the tracks with real musicians. The goal is to reinterpret these, publish records and possibly organise shows if the project receives enough support.
You can discuss the project on the official topic and obtain more information on the official website.

Ten years. A decade ago, Rayman fans created an independent community to share their passion. In less than two years, it became the largest Rayman community, and grew over time to offer more content and services to the fandom and anyone interested. Its openness and freedom are only matched by the loyalty and dedication of its members, without whom it would be nothing by now.

While last year wasn't the most active we've had, with 89525 messages leading us to a total of 796709, 1853 articles on RayWiki, a figure that has risen by 10%, and many additions to RayTunes, the upcoming release of Rayman Legends is a great event for the community and allows us to imagine a bright future for the series.

Ten years ago, no one would have guessed that Pirate-Community would still be here today. And thanks to you, member or visitor, fan or curious, old-timer or rookie, we have all the reasons to believe that our community will still be here in ten years as well.

Long live Rayman, long live Pirate-Community!
