Isn't the Green Teensy a Grand Minimus too, just one without a crown? —![]()

- I don't think so, I recall him just being one of many Green Teensies, which probably implies that they're their own little group.--

Group vs. individual
This article (and, more broadly, the whole wiki) is a bit confusing in its presentation of the Grand Minimus, due to this name referring to either a Teensie tribe/group of individuals (R2, R3, RHR), two specific individuals (RM), or one specific individual (RK, UbiArt games, RBG). Not even sure about RRR GBA.
It is also unclear if the individual Grand Minimus is the same one in all the games he appears in, though I see no reason to think otherwise, at least in the case of the UbiArt games and the board game.
Any thoughts on how to present this information in a less confusing manner? —![]()

- This is a very confusing conundrum. On the side of “there is only one Grand Minimus”, we can go all the way back in Rayman 2, where the Teensies were fighting over who would be the one Grand Minimus. Even in Rayman M/Arena only the topmost Teensy has the crown on him, thus making him the Grand Minimus (I always thought that the two Teensies fought over who would be on the top in between races and battles). Then of course there are the examples Hunchman stated, those being Rayman Kart, the UbiArt games, and Rayman: The Board Game. But on the other hand, there are multiple Teensies with crowns in the same room in Rayman 3, and the UbiArt games state that “this fellow is ONE of their kings (yeah, there are a lot of them)”, meaning there are also multiple Grand Minimus (Minimuses?).
- Maybe for the games where a single Grand Minimus appears, it should say just that: “A single Grand Minimus appears as a major character in Rayman Origins”? But that might not work in a sentence like, “Although a single Grand Minimus does not appear in Rayman Fiesta Run…” Honestly, I think one of the Bubble Dreamer’s quotes from Origins sums up the status of this whole situation pretty well: “I’m confused, are you confused?!” -RayGamer99
- I suggest we start by summarizing the official sources we have about this:
- "Leading the Teensie peoples as the caretaker of the Heart of the World, the Grand Minimus is the greatest little king of them all. Or kings, that is. Recent reports claim that no less than four Teensies squabble over rights to don the Minimus crown. Now, the evil Hoodlums are threatening to seize the Heart of the World – will the real Grand Minimus please stand up?" - Rayman 3 press release
- "Les Grands Minis représentent un ordre particulier au sein de la population Ptizêtre. Ils sont chargés de garder le Cœur du Monde, qui rassemble toute l'énergie de la Croisée des Rêves." - Rayman 3 official site
- A crowned Teensie avatar was called Grand Minimus on RaymanZone
- "Oh, Grand Minimus! Keeper King of the Teensy kinder... how's it tickling?!" — Rayman Origins
- A crowned Teensie is called Grand Minimus in subsequent UbiArt games
- "This Legendary Triple Troll is an homage to the wise and powerful disco-loving Grand Minimus." - Rayman in the Phantom Show (I hoped the French version would clarify whether it's singular or plural, but instead it only mentions the First King)
- Anything else come to mind? —
