Trophy

Trophies, also known as cups, are collectibles in the Nintendo DS version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, and Rayman Mini. Trophies are collected through means that vary from game-to-game.

In the Nintendo DS version of Rayman Raving Rabbids

In the Nintendo DS version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, trophies are most commonly found in the Challenge stages, where they can be collected by touching them with the stylus before having Rayman run into it. They can also be earned from finishing Rayman Gear challenges and boss fights. Trophies are required to open new levels. There are a total of 100 trophies to collect in the game. At least 90 are needed to reach the final boss, Rabble Droid. Once all 100 trophies have been collected, three new Rayman Gear levels will unlock in score mode.

In Rayman Origins

Rayman Origins features a new type of trophy, the speed trophy, that can be earned by getting the required time in the game's time trials. Speed trophies do not unlock anything in-game or grant anything to the player, and are there for little more than bragging rights.

In Rayman Legends

Trophies return in Rayman Legends, where they are referred to as cups and feature four different rarities: Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond. The first three types can be earned by collecting a certain amount of Lums in a level, and the fourth type can be earned by freeing all of the Teensies in a world, including the ones in the invaded levels. These also do not unlock anything, save for some achievements/trophies. These cups can also be earned in the Online Challenges by getting a good enough score in the challenges. When the challenge ends at the end of the day/week, the player gains a set amount of Lums depending on the rarity of the cup they got.

In Rayman Mini

In Rayman Mini, cups are earned by clearing certain missions, known as feats, in the Online Challenges, such as performing a certain amount of crush attacks, or reaching a certain distance. There are up to four feats for the player to clear per challenge. Performing a feat earns the player a bronze cup, and clearing more upgrades the cup to silver, gold, and diamond. At the end of the challenge, the player is granted a certain number of gems depending on the rarity of the cups that they earned. Cups can also be earned by completing one of the game's music levels and collecting all of the Lums in it, replacing the Electoons that do the same thing in the game's main levels. These also grant the player a set number of gems depending on the rarity of the cup, which is determined by the level of difficulty the music level is being played on.
