Revision as of 09:19, 9 April 2010
My name is Stacey, and I'm a sysop. :) I come from the United Kingdom, and have been a Rayman fan for over 8 years, starting in 1999 round about when Rayman 2 was released. Rayman 2 on the Sega Dreamcast was the first Rayman game I've played, and though I was confused by the odd dialogue, I played the game religiously. I was so into the series back then, in 2001 I got a PS2 with Rayman Rev and M, though everyone pointed out that Rayman Rev was the same game as R2!
List of Rayman games I own
- Rayman 1 (PSOne, PC [the stinky Focus version that has no music. Only just found out about that today :/], GBC)
- Rayman 2 (Dreamcast, PSOne)
- Rayman Revolution (PS2)
- Rayman M (PS2, PC)
- Rayman 3 (PS2, GBA)
- Rayman Junior (PSOne)
- Rayman Rush (PSOne)
- Maths and English with Rayman (PC). This is just a PC version of Rayman Junior.
- Rayman Raving Rabbids (GBA, Wii, DS)
- Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge (GBA)
List of Rayman products I have
- Rayman 2 figurine
- Rayman: The Animated Series on DVD
- Official Strategy Guide
- RaymanZone UK magazine
- Rayman 3 T-shirt I won through RZ's Hall of Fame '03
- Gameboy Color holiday pack that just has Rayman's name on it
- Rayman soft toy [fuck yeah, better believe it]
Sandboxen [aka where I test shit]
Madder
Madder is a song by British electronica band Groove Armada that was used in the introduction movie of Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. It appears on the 2002 album Lovebox.
Rayman IV
Rayman IV (not to be confused with Rayman Raving Rabbids in its early stages) is an unlicensed game for the Game Boy Advance that originated from Russia. Typical of an unlicensed game, it has neither the Ubisoft logo or the Nintendo Seal of Quality, but has an ESRB rating of E for Everyone (normally used in the United States), the Russian flag and the "Only for" notice on the side of the cover. The cover features poorly edited artwork that was previously used in Rayman M and Rayman Arena, notably of Rayman, Globox and a Henchman 800, set against a blue background. As of 2009 the ROM of the game has yet to be found, so it is unknown about what the contents are.
Rabbids Go Home (rewrite)
Rabbids Go Home is an action video game that is based on the Rayman Raving Rabbids series. Not only is it the first game in the series to be an action adventure game instead of centring entirely around minigames, it is also the first game in which Rayman does not appear. It was released for the Nintendo Wii and the Nintendo DS in November 2009, five months after it was announced and confirmed for release.
Plot
On the outskirts of a bustling city, a group of Rabbids hang around in a junkyard, bored of partying, and want to go home. The problem is, they don't even know where they come from, so they cast the moon as their new home. They notice the piles of junk around them, and decide that by making one pile bigger with even more junk, they could reach it. Two Rabbids then take a shopping trolley and search around for things to toss onto the pile, before setting off to the city to look for more junk.
Gameplay
Typically, the player controls two Rabbids - with a third one at the ready for use as a Cannonball Rabbid - one sits inside a shopping trolley, while the other pushes it. The aim of the game is to collect stuff for their moon pile, some of which is obtained by ramming the trolley into objects and even humans.

Downtown
The Downtown area is the main hub of the game, in which the Rabbids search around for new stuff places by following specific arrows that lead them to a new place. Reminiscent to Rayman Revolution, stuff can still be picked up and enemies can still be fought there.
Missions
Inside Ze Wii Remote
This is a utility which takes place inside a virtual Nintendo Wiimote. The player begins this by choosing one Rabbid and sucking it inside, ready for it to be customised and also tossed around if the player decides to shake the Wiimote around.
Tools
The Tools are unlockable utilities that are used to disfigure the chosen Rabbid. There are six to choose from.
- Air Pump: This can be connected to one of the Rabbid's eyes or ears, and one push will blow it up. It can be restored with another push.
- Vice: This squashes and stretches the Rabbid's head.
- Gas canister: This inflates and deflates one of the Rabbid's eyes or ears.
- Candy Bomb: Feeding this to the Rabbid will reset its disfigures.
Tattoos
In this utility, the player gets to paint their Rabbid any colour and pattern they like with the drawing and painting tools provided. Also provided is a collection of stamps, most of which are given as unlockable gifts.
Accessories
A selection of random objects that the Rabbids have collected can be worn in this utility.

Rabbids Go Home (DS)
Rabbids Go Home (DS) is a handheld video game that was released for the Nintendo DS on the 1st November 2009 in the US, and on the 6th November 2009 in Europe, to coincide with the release of Rabbids Go Home for the Nintendo Wii. Again, it is the first handheld Rabbids game in which Rayman does not appear, and it is also the first to have extra features that can only be used if the player plays the game with a Nintendo DSi.
Plot
The plot in the game almost coincides with that of the Wii version, with the exception that the Rabbids have developed an obsession with street lamps. They seem to enjoy sitting on top of them until it gets too hot and then electrocutes them. Soon they spot the moon, and regard it as a giant light bulb.
Gameplay
Unlike the console version, this version of the game is a puzzle game, and the aim of each round is to lead the Rabbids to the toilet somehow, while making sure they have collected all of the items available along the way. The player can use tools, such as scissors and girders, and has to position them carefully to create a path to the toilet, which the Rabbids will walk on automatically.

Examples of bad article writing
Bad article writing is when you do it wrong, and here are some real examples of shit just like that.
Exhibit A
The Eastern Plains In Near Where Clark Saves You From The Robo Pirates And Rayman revolution.
There Are Infinite Pirate's In A Nearby house To There.
Up To The Right of the entrance is a path leading to the menhir hill's that you can enter once you get the 1st mask. there will be no pirates at the point where clark is going to smash the gate for you.
this is a good training place since the other colors spawn once you encounter them.
stay away from here cause it can be dangerous.
Exhibit B
mairy the fairy is a rayman charecter who has helped rayman in his past to find globox who was still young and stupid, he got stuck in a hole whilst he was trying to jump across it. so mairy helped rayman find were the help screams came from. when rayman found him he helped him out and then they became bester freinds. mairy the fairy was also seen later in rayman 2. on razorbeards prison ship.
Exhibit C
Tonic Trouble is a game based on the Rayman series (even though it wasn't a story about Rayman's World in general) that was created a month after the original version of Rayman 2. It's about a Friendly but Clumsy alien janitor named "Ed" who accidentally dropped a Mysterious can of Tonic on Earth. Causing it to infect humans, animals and plants. The tomatoes are rolling away, the carrots are bouncing at high speed like jack-hammers, icebergs even started appearing and disappearing. The whole World has gone topsy-turvy. Back at Ed's home, he is sent back to repair the damage he did. But the can of tonic has fallen into the hands of a ruthless Viking giving him great powers. His name was "Grogh the Hellish" and he declared himself as the master of earth!
Help Ed explore earth, encounter strange and dangerous beings which was in fact (like already mentioned), his whole fault in the first place.
