Olympus Maximus is the fifth world of paintings in Rayman Legends. It is also the last main world in the game.
The real-world influence for these levels come from ancient Greco-Roman mythology and society, as seen in the ornate ionic columns of various dilapidated temples, and even ancient astrology, parodied with the constellations visible in the first level. A reference to the god of the sky, Zeus, appears in the first level, with a mysterious floating hand that can electrocute Rayman if he fails to escape. Later levels take place in a fiery, hellish abyss, possibly a metaphor for Hades, the underworld. The world culminates in a long battle against a horde of dark creatures, after which Rayman finally escapes from the pit.
