Freaking Flipper

Revision as of 08:50, 16 March 2017 by RayCarrot (talk | contribs) (Added images)

Freaking Flipper is the fourth level of the Sea of Serendipity, the fourth world in Rayman Origins. The players will continue to swim through the underwater caverns. Even though this level is the second from this world and twenty-fifth overall that's included in the Back to Origins mode in Rayman Legends, it is the first playable level in the mode, the second being Swimming with Stars.

Area 1

Rayman and his team will drop down in the water filled with presumably a school of fish. They sing their tune once the players enter the water. The first Skull Coin can be collected by swimming down and through a tight gap space between two platforms. As the team progresses, no more fish will appear, and there will be jellyfish and a rocky creature that will try to eat the players by blowing strong winds. The exit is close once the team gets past the creature.

The school of singing fishes.

Jellyfish are dangerous to touch.

Area 2

A Swordfish.

The heroes will have to avoid the swordfish hiding at the beginning. The second Skull Coin is located around several spikes and a jellyfish. As the heroes begin to advance downwards, they will encounter more swordfish, and more creatures that will blow strong winds . The first secret area is found to the right of the first rock creature that blows wind. After getting through the creatures, the team can go to the exit.

Spikes will stick out if a player is nearby.

The first secret area is hiding behind the sea foreground.

These rocky creatures will try to eat the players by blowing strong winds.

Secret Area 1

Rayman and his friends need to hurry as they destroy several kinds of enemies, as a swarm of fatal touching Baby Piranhas are swimming right behind them. Once they escape the swarm and defeat the enemies, the Electoon cage will be able to be broken.

Psychlops will need to be destroyed along the way.

Area 3

Now the players will have to find another way to get pass the blocks that are in their way. The third Skull Coin can be retrieved by hitting two TNT crates and waiting for them to explode, then quickly getting the coin before the solid wooden crate crushes the players. A little bit later, a strong current will push the team close by to the exit.

The TNT crates will explode after a few seconds if the player hits it.

A Blowfish blowing up.

Area 4

This area tests the player's swimming ability. Another strong current will take the players downwards, but this time there are several Sea anemones along the way. The fourth Skull Coin is in the middle of two of the anemones. After a while, the team gets through the current, and will have to continue going down while passing the rocky creatures and more sea anemones.

Sea anemone.

The anemone will vary in length.

Area 5

The fifth area.

A group of Jellyfish moving around in a circle.

Out of the caverns now, an Electoon immediately cries out for help. The second secret can be found by destroying the lower pillar at the start of the area. Once they're saved, the heroes can move on. Throughout the area, the heroes will come across many of the world's enemies and pillars; some of those pillars may crush the player if their lower area is broken. The fifth Skull Coin of the level can be found by waiting for two large pillars being held by Darkroots to move out of the way, then the coin can be grabbed. The sixth Skull Coin can be collected by quickly destroying a part of two small pillars. The exit is not too far way from the coin.

Darkroots hold some pillars.

Several Redfish.

Little Darktoons.

Secret Area 2

All the team has to do is body slam at the right spot to drop a long distance to where they will crush both a Psychlops and the Electoon cage.

The body slam will have to be right on target to the blocks.

The deep pit that will eventually lead to the Electoon cage.

Area 6

The sixth and final area.

Rayman and his friends will have to defeat the lone Blowfish and the several Redfish in order to brake open the Electoon cage to end the level. They will then pose on the photoboard while the Magician waits for the amount of Lums that were collected in the level.
