This racetrack includes only the Survival mode, which goal is to run the three straightforward laps (equal among themselves) without being caught by the holographic wall that chases the character. Each lap is divided into four parts: the first part contains only [[speed booster]]s, the second part contains the boosters and green barriers, the third part consists of speed boosters and pink [[bumper]]s and the fourth part contains red muddy floor with narrow clear paths and the boosters. The player is running towards the screen, which makes it impossible to see the upcoming obstacles in the course. As the player proceeds to the next lap, the camera zooms more closely to the character, effectively reducing their visibility. If the player gets caught by the wall, they lose, while reaching the finish line makes them win the entire game and triggers the ending cutscene and the credits.

Speed Stress is the fifth Bonus League racecourse and the final stage in Rayman M. It is unlocked by completing the previous race challenge in the Bonus League, On and On.

In the Xbox and GameCube versions of Rayman Arena, where it is called Run, Run, it is the second of four bonus levels available in the Exhibition menu, while "Speed Stress" is the new name of Born To Slide. It can be unlocked by completing the Pro League in the Obstacle Racing mode.

Description

Rayman M

This racetrack includes only the Survival mode, which goal is to run the three straightforward laps (equal among themselves) without being caught by the holographic wall that chases the character. Each lap is divided into four parts: the first part contains only speed boosters, the second part contains the boosters, stipes of red muddy floor and green barriers, the third part consists of speed boosters and pink bumpers and the fourth part contains red muddy floor with narrow clear paths and the boosters.

Speed Stress takes place in a straight corridor with tall walls and is almost entirely made of green polygonal mesh, like the other racing maps in the Bonus League.

Rayman Arena

In Rayman Arena, the level can also be played only in the Survival mode (although it is not specified in the game). However, completing Run, Run does not provide any sort of reward, as in this game, it is just an extra racing stage, not the final challenge.

The level itself plays exactly the same as in Rayman M, but its aesthetic was changed to a more cartoony and wavy blue and yellow polygonal mesh.

Trivia

  • The theme played during single-player gameplay in Speed Stress in the PC and PlayStation 2 versions of Rayman M is a remix of the theme of Haunted Yard and it is shared with Treasure Ship and Electric Final. In Rayman Arena, a reprise of the player's character's theme is played in the same way as in the other racecourses in the Exhibition menu.
  • Unlike in other race modes in Rayman M, the counter in the top left corner of the screen does not serve as a timer or a countdown; instead it shows the actual distance between the player's character and the wall. However, in Rayman Arena, the counter is used as a timer.
  • Speed Stress/Run,Run is one of the two instances in Rayman M and Rayman Arena where the players have to run towards the camera instead of being followed by it (the second one being the final segment of the Treasure Ship).
