Glob Crystals are items exclusive to the the Dreamcast version of Rayman 2: The Great Escape. These six glowing yellow crystals are used to unlock the three special minigames that can be accessed from the Globox Village. Whenever Rayman collects a Glob Crystal, it is taken to the Globox Village and placed on one of three tree-stumps. When a stump has two Crystals on it, it becomes a magic portal, which leads Rayman to a minigame.
Finding two of the Glob Crystals unlocks the Pyralums minigame. Finding four of them unlocks the Weblums minigame. Finding all six unlocks the Globox Disc multiplayer minigame.
Locations
One Glob Crystal can be found in each of the following levels:
- The Fairy Glade - in Part 5, at the path that leads to the air currents.
- The Sanctuary of Water and Ice - in the secret cave, where also a cage is hidden.
- Whale Bay - at the place where Carmen and the piranhas stop, there is a secret cavern with blue lums.
- The Echoing Caves - in the secret area of The Fairy Glade that the player can reach through this level.
- The Precipice - at the end, near the spiral door, at the upper floor.
- The Iron Mountains - at the part before the river leads to the balloon, on the wooden platform at the left.
