'''Extreme Slide''' is the third race course in the Exhibition menu in ''[[Rayman Arena]]'' on the Xbox and GameCube, being the only exclusive race map to these versions. It replaces the Big Bang and is characterized by containing almost only slippery surfaces.

== Description ==
This race track can be played only in the Time Attack mode (Exhibition variant in single-player mode and standard variant in multiplayer mode). It contains one to two Check Point lines that provide the player with additional time to finish the course when crossed.
The track is made of one big slope placed in the void, surrounded by huge pillars. Its landscape is stylized for a cartoony polygon mesh full of wavy lines. The level structure can vary as long as the player keeps replaying the race course, since it is a fragment of a straight-forward map, just like Speed Stress or Future, although the first part always remains the same. The track contains mostly slippery paths with additional obstacles in the form of pink bumpers, climbing walls, ramps, large pillars, gates, and red mud-like surfaces. The player can always choose between a bottom path (slope) and an upper one, which is made of narrow platforms hung in the air.

*The track contains a bug: at random, only one Check Point line for the whole course will be generated. It makes the race impossible to complete as the player is not provided enough time, causing a game-over screen to appear.

Extreme Slide is the third race course in the Exhibition menu in Rayman Arena on the Xbox and GameCube, being the only exclusive race map to these versions. It replaces the Big Bang and is characterized by containing almost only slippery surfaces.

Description

Trivia

  • The track contains a bug: at random, only one Check Point line for the whole course will be generated. It makes the race impossible to complete as the player is not provided enough time, causing a game-over screen to appear.
  • The French version of Rayman M and Rayman Arena, unlike other versions, does not differentiate between the names Born to Slide and Extreme Slide, naming both tracks Glisse Extrême.
