Blaster
The Blaster is Rayman's primary weapon in Rayman in the Phantom Show, the third DLC of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It draws inspiration from the plunger guns first introduced in Rayman Raving Rabbids, and its design is inspired by giant mosquitoes, a species of giant flying insects encountered frequently throughout the Rayman series.
Gameplay
In battle, the Blaster is a weapon which fires a single projectile—a plunger—at an enemy. When the target is hit, it has a chance of stealing coins from it.
An upgrade is available for the Blaster in Rayman's skill tree, giving the weapon a 30% chance of stealing a random item from an enemy when successfully hit.
When Rayman is wearing the Vortex or Rocket costume, the Blaster is replaced by the Vortex Blaster and the Rocket Blaster, respectively. While both weapons deal less base damage than their regular counterpart, they come with special effects: the Vortex Blaster makes enemies bounce when hit, inflicting more bounces the closer Rayman is to his target, and the Rocket Blaster hits all enemies within its area of effect, and not the main target only, with a bigger explosion the farther Rayman is from his target. Specific upgrades are also available for those two weapons: while the Vortex Blaster can be enhanced to inflict more bounces and increase the damage to impact, the Rocket Blaster can be improved to inflict additional damage for each enemy within the range of the explosion.
