Deep Freezes are enemies that appear in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope and its DLC, Rayman in the Phantom Show. They are an ice-themed variant of the Wildclaw.

Appearance

Deep Freezes share the same tiger-like Rabbid body structure as Wildclaws, including a single massive claw. However, their fur is colored white and light blue, reflecting their affinity with ice.

Abilities

Deep Freezes can only attack at close range using their giant claw. Unlike their regular counterparts, they do not have the "Hot Pursuit" ability and will not chase heroes who attack them from afar. Their signature move is a technique called Blizzard Burst, which unleashes a wave of ice that damages and inflicts the Frostbite effect on all heroes in its range, preventing them from moving. Upon being defeated, a Deep Freeze will use Blizzard Burst one final time as a parting attack. They are resistant to the Frostbite effect but are weak to Burn.

Tacticam analysis

Unleashes powerful area attacks onto its closest opponents. Can deal Frostbite damage thanks to its Technique. Upon defeat, it will let loose with a final Frostbite-infused area attack.

This latest mutation of Cursa's has been integrated perfectly into the environment on Pristine Peaks – a cunning and aggressive predator that works to immobilize its prey by getting in close and freezing it still. Even in defeat it is a threat, launching a final, glacially-charged explosion that chills to the bone all Heroes within reach. As one would expect, it is especially vulnerable to fire.
