Moskito's Nest

Moskito's Nest (French: L'Antre de Moskito – The Lair of Moskito) is the fourth and final level of the Dream Forest, the first world of the original Rayman game. It consists of six stages during the first playthrough, and only three during subsequent playthroughs, because two of them feature Moskito and the last one is the stage in which Betilla the Fairy grants Rayman the grappling fist power.

Tentacle-flowers are tough enemies

Part 1

Only two cages will be possible to get the first time, as Rayman needs the grappling fist to reach one of them.

This dodgy level requires quick reflexes.

Moskito is pursuing Rayman with a huge spiky fruit

Part 3

Here, Rayman is chased chased by Moskito and must reach the end of the level before him. Once Moskito is beaten, this phase will not appear again when the player backtracks for the other cages.

These gigantic trunks are very similar to tentacle-flowers

Part 4

This level is slightly different in the PC and Game Boy Advance versions of the game, where giant trunks are found in of the level. In the other versions, this is the only level along with part 6 of Bongo Hills and part 4 of Eat at Joe's to not have any cages, not counting the boss levels.

Rayman has to battle Moskito.

Rayman is given his third power by Betilla the Fairy

Part 6

Betilla gives Rayman the power of the grappling fist.
