Bravados are enemies that appear in the third Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope DLC, Rayman in the Phantom Show. They are first encountered in Boastin' Bravados, the only battle of the quest The Western Set.

Meet the Bravados! Hired for their authenticity, they will seek to destroy you with Gust-based attacks! According to the script you will need to defeat all three of them - predictable, but what can you do? Be warned - the Bravados seek to draw out every scene they are in. They will counterattack as often as they can!

Appearance

Bravados bear a similar appearance to Lone Wolves and Scopers in that they are a hybrid of Rabbids and some kind of canine creature like a wolf, and attack and defend in similar fashions. They mostly take the form of a Rabbid, and can stand on two legs as well as run on all fours, but have a coat of rugged brown fur on top of the typical short white Rabbid coat, as well as a long bushy tail. They dress in cowboy attire, wearing a cowboy hat and a red neckerchief. They frequent the Western Set and assume the role of “the bandits’ leaders” in The Ballad of Plungerhands McMurdy.

Abilities

Bravados fire a single long-range projectile from their weapon, the Pulse Shooter, which appears to be similar to a typical cowboy shotgun. This shot is made with a flat trajectory and comes with a Gust effect, which also makes them resistant to Gust attacks from the heroes and Sparks. However, they are weak against the Frostbite effect. Additionally, they can climb up walls onto high ground, but unlike Lone Wolves and Scopers, they will counter attack immediately after being attacked by a hero.

Tacticam analysis

Bravados are aggressive, highly mobile enemies equipped with Gust attacks and a special ability to counterattack Heroes.
—Tacticam analysis, Rayman in the Phantom Show
  • Level: 8
  • Weak: Frostbite
  • Resistant: Gust
  • Attack: Pulse Shooter. 120-120 DMG (20% chance of dealing 156 DMG). Fires a single long-range projectile with a flat trajectory and a Gust effect.
  • Ability: Counter Blow. Any attack is immediately counterattacked.
  • Movement: Climb x1. Quickly climb to high ground.

Memories

Where’s JEANIE now, I wonder? Probably making all kinds of unauthorized changes to the WM ARC. I shall therefore have to do my best with the enemy analysis. The Bravados are detestable little long-range fighters that are always on the move, climbing to elevated positions from which to fire upon us from medium-range, where we remain under constant threat of their counter attacks and Gust super effects.
