Globox Family True Names Globox was originally named Globber. There's evidence many of his children are nicknamed.

John Leguizamo

Leguizamo played Luigi in the Super Mario Bros. movie (1993), and voiced Globox in Rayman 3. Glob Plumber is a stealth reference.

Rayman 2 Alternative Ending

If Rayman chooses to take the treasure in the Cave of Bad Dreams, a scene will play where Rayman has become fat and is resting on an island with his treasure.

My Fair Lac-Mac

"My Fair Lac-Mac" is the name of the unfinished fifth episode of the Rayman TV series, which apparently was almost completed, but was stopped at the last minute. The name of the episode and a couple images of it can be seen in the website of one of the animators.

Floating Miniature Jano

In the PC, N64 and Dreamcast versions of Rayman 2, if the player returns to the Marshes of Awakening after beating the Cave of Bad Dreams, they can often see a miniature Jano floating over the swamp water.

Eyes of Jano

Antitoons, creations of Jano, leave behind eyes when punched. Jano's cave has living eyeballs. Jano used eyes to make antitoons and other eye enemies.

Space Mama and Mr Dark swapped levels

Since the Space Mama uses a rolling pin and the pirates from Picture City use frying pans, some people consider that it would make more sense for them to be in a food based world like the Candy Château, the world where Mr Dark is hidden.

Cagoulettes

The Cagoulettes are female hoodlums, their name was found in the Rayman 3 HD files. They are never seen in the games, however one of them (referred as the Hostess) can be heard through the intercom of the Hoodlum Headquarters, and pictures depicting cagoulettes can be found in the shooting range of the same level and also in the Rayman 3 HD files.

Knaaren's panties

In the Desert of the Knaaren, there is a statue of a Knaaren holding a large platform, if you stand behind the statue and look up with the first person POV, you can see the statue's heart pattern panties.

Frozen Rayman in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

In 2019, a texture of Rayman was spotted within the ice of Ultimate's Battlefield stage.

Mamma Hité

Mamma Hité is a scrapped character intended for Rayman Origins that only appeared in pre-release images and other material.

Trojan in Rayman Forever

There had been reports of trojans being detected by antivirus software in Rayman Forever. According to RibShark on the GOG forums, there is in fact code for the CIH virus.

La Cagoule

During the early development of Rayman 3, the hoodlums where called "cagoulards". Some people believe that the name was changed to avoid associations with La Cagoule, a french terrorist group, which members where known as "cagoulards".

Rabbids Dreamwalk Rabbids can travel from the Glade of Dreams to the Waking World.

Griskin Genocide

According to information from a Rayman 3 press release, the Great Spirit Palmito turned the Griskins into ghosts and confined them to a great tower.

Something wicked this way comes Mr Dark is named after the character of the same name, who runs a circus, this way explain why mr Dark is surrounded by clowns.

Other Gods

In the Knowledge of the World from Rayman 2, after collecting 650 Yellow Lums, the following text becomes available:

After having created all the creatures who live in this world, a harder task remained: creating time. So, Polokus went to the place where all the gods of all the worlds meet, and together they set about dreaming up the future.

Anders Breivik

Mass murderer Anders Breivik complains in a letter about Rayman Revolution.

Multiverse

Legends confirms alternate worlds. This may explain inconsistencies in lore/environment/characters.

Sexbomb

There is a video of Rayman and Globox singing "Sexbomb" by Tom Jones. The oldest upload of this video on YouTube that I could find was from December 27, 2007 by Lemmy556. Some people believed it was a test animation from Rayman 3, however findings in recent years point out that this animation was made by Damien Pougheon during the preproduction of Rayman 4, before it turned into Rayman Raving Rabbids. In Damien Pougheon's blog, there is a post from April 28, 2006, which shows an image of Rayman and Globox singing, unfortunately the original video is no longer available for download.

Offensive Globox

Apparently at some point there was a rumour that Globox was excluded from the animated series out of fear a dumb french frog would offend France. Around the same time the Rayman: The Animated Series was released, Brock from Pokémon was replaced with Tracey out of similar concerns.

Teensies are jews The Teensies are the direct descendants of God Polokus tasked with guarding the magic of the world. The jewish people has similar origin/function in the Kassalaw. Plus the big nose stereotyping.

USS Enterprise

The USS Enterprise appears in the Teensie Highway. The highway may be connected to warp drives.

The Guitar Man

In Rayman 2's Tomb of the Ancients, there is a secret room with a large man playing guitar. We can't see his face and its unknown who this is.

In October 2019, Twitter user Ryemanni posted an image of how Rayman would look like without a nose, later that month a fangame named The Spooky Raymansion was released on Game Jolt, which featured this version of Rayman.

Creepiest Images in 'Rayman Origins Disco Theme 15 Minutes Extended'

The only thing I could find was a video named Rayman Origins - Disco/Dance (EXTENDED, 15 mins), uploaded in April 27th, 2012 by WonkyTonkBotty. The video contains various images which include: official art, fan art, fan comics, screenshots of Rayman Origins, edited images and memes.

Vine porn

In a video from the YouTube channel DoubleFineProd, at 45:08 Michel Ancel tells a story about Rayman 2, where a guy goes to him and claims to have found "porn" in the game, referring to the movements of the roots and their symmetry in certain places of the level Beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava.

In the book L'Histoire de Rayman there is concept art of a young human girl named Cielle who was intended to appear in Rayman 4.

In a page from an Atari Jaguar Preview Booklet (US) from 1994, the following description can be found:

Join Jimmy, a 10-year-old who escapes reality by entering "Hereitscool," a fantasy kingdom he has created within the realms of his computer. When an evil power takes over Hereitscool, Jimmy becomes Rayman, a super hero who must save his friends before it's too late!

This led to various theories, for example:

• Crippled Jimmy: plot for a scrapped Rayman game involved a kid whose arms and legs become crippled and he conects with Rayman for having no arms or legs. Rayman is in a boot camp for video game heroes and Dark Rayman acts as a malicious virus.
• Jimmy is Polokus:

Jimi Hendrix

RAYMAN is an electronic character created by professor HENDRIX for his nephew JIM. He travels through virtual worlds and has exceptional powers. He can command objects at a distance with his fist, pilot flying engines, change size, hang and climb platforms, and so on. He also has special powers with surprising effects. Despite these qualities, Rayman's electronic nature does not permit him to dive into water.

A purple whale

The early design of Carmen the Whale, as shown in this artwork, had no eyes and was described as: "Une Baleine mauve". On top of that, there is an image that was found in the files of the Dreamcast version by RobinRayman, that shows the whale with no eyes opening the mouth very wide and showing its teeth.

The Muse of the Poets

Polokus married the Muse of the Poets, likely to be Thalia, the Muse of Comedy.

Azathoth

Lovecraft's Azathoth also dreamed up the universe and is destined to awaken.

Rayman/Artemis Artemis is the goddess of the Moon and Hunting, Rayman was created in a moonlight ritual to hunt bad dreams.

Polokus/Morpheus Morpheus is the god of dreams who takes many forms in his dreams. An early concept of Polokus for Origins was him taking several forms.

Glade of Dreams/Phantasos Phantasos is the God of the surreal dream who takes the form of landscapes/objects. This is why the Glade's geography changes between games.

The Leptys/Nyx Nyx is the God of Night. The Leptys is the Bringer of Night.

War of giants In the Blue Montains and Cave of Skops there are giant treasure hordes, sword, and shields lying about. Clark is the only giant seen in Rayman 2, and no gods are seen in the present.

Present day Rabbids can visit modern day real world, meaning the Glade of Dreams exists concurrently.

The Mysterious Guild
