Original and Dreamcast versions
In the original and Dreamcast versions of Rayman 2, the purple colour represents the lowest rank of Henchman 800, below red. They exist in two types, a weak version taking three shots to defeat, and a strong version taking six shots. They shoot regular energy projectiles, but the stronger ones occasionally shoot helicopter bombs in the Dreamcast version. They appear in most levels in the game. In low-light, purple Henchmen 800 can appear blue, and those have occasionally been considered a different type.
