Appearance
Red Globox is Globox, but with red skin instead of blue.
History
According to the manual for Rayman Origins, Globox originally was a Vubooduboo-practicing (translated from the language game Ubbi Dubbi to "voodoo-practicing") Red Wizard with red skin. Nobody in the Glade of Dreams seems to know what really happened to Globox when he became blue; while the other Red Wizards of his clan whisper rumours about him being poisoned by venomous bubeastietubbis (translated from the language game Ubbi Dubbi to "beasties"), the Teensies believe that his color change was produced by excess drinking of plum juice.
The artbook The Art of Rayman Origins depicts the former version, showing how, as he was eating some berries from a bush, Globox confused a blue mosquito's eye for a berry, and after failed attempts to take the eye, he swallowed the insect whole. Once inside Globox's body, the mosquito buzzed noisily for help, and immediately a swarm of Blue mosquitoes appeared to sting Globox, leaving him with several bluish-purple welts, which eventually became part of his skin and turned him blue. This story is later reused in the PlayStation Vita version of Rayman Origins as a mosaic puzzle, where it is obtained by collecting relics in the game. The story is also referenced in his description in Rayman Mini.

Trivia
- In the PlayStation commercial of Rayman 2, a red Globox can be seen, weirdly, bearing a Robo-Pirate symbol on his belly. This may be a grown-up version of Catastrox, a red Baby Globox that sometimes claims allegiance to the Robo-Pirates, but this is not confirmed.
- The book L'Histoire de Rayman erroneously claims that Globox's wife Uglette is playable in Rayman Origins and Rayman Legends under the name of Red Globox.[1] In reality, this skin is Globox's original color before he turned blue.
