Electric beam
Electric beams are obstacles which appear in Rayman 2, Rayman M and Rayman Arena.
Appearances
Rayman 2
In this game, the Robo-Pirates have installed electric beams in most of the places they control, and especially in their strongholds. They can be mobile or stationary, and many are lined up so as to act as electrics fences. Unlike lasers, they are blue in color and do not cause Rayman die instantly upon touch: he is instead electrocuted.
In Whale Bay, Rayman finds his friend Carmen locked up in an underwater cave with electric beams blocking the exit. In the Pirate Factory, a location exclusive to Rayman Revolution, Rayman must use a cannon capable of emitting a powerful electric beam to free Bimbette and battle the Biditank. In the Tomb of the Ancients, Rayman finds his friend Clark controlled by a device attached to his back. He must have him trip on electric beams so as to expose the device to shoot it and free his friend.
In the PlayStation version, all electric beams have been replaced with lasers or electric fences.
