Forest Jump is the first racecourse in the Expert League in Rayman M and becomes playable after finishing all the race levels of the Advanced League in the Race mode. It also appears in Rayman Arena in Cup 3 (Beginner League and Master League) and Cup 7 (Pro League), where it can be unlocked by completing Thousand Waterfalls. In Rayman Rush the level is a part of Zone 1 and can be played if the Canopy has been won in the Championship mode.
The track takes place in a green forest full of enormous trees and Robo-Pirate strongholds.
Description
Rayman M
In Rayman M, Forest Jump can be played in five modes during the single-player gameplay: Training, Race, Popolopoï (38 Popolopoïs to shoot), Lums (63 Yellow Lums to collect) and On and On. If the player chooses a multiplayer mode, the level becomes playable in two modes: Race and Kill Time. Forest Jump features two checkpoint lines and eleven switches.
The track is a relatively short loop with a couple of distinct separate alternative routes - one at the very start of the map and one in the middle. The race is located in the Robo-Pirate forts and various structures are hung between the giant trees, connected by wooden platforms. At one point, a sunset or a dawn and a colorful sky can be seen far beyond the trees. Although the place is not based on any specific level from Rayman 2, inspiration from the Fairy Glade, the Canopy, the Echoing Caves and the Top of the World can be seen. The player can face such objects and obstacles as: speed boosters, bumpers, Purple Lums, sliding surfaces, climbing walls, piles of leaves slowing down the characters, retractable planks, falling and rolling kegs, Cullcuts and explosive barrels.
Rayman Arena
In Rayman Arena only two modes are available for play, those being Obstacle Racing and Time Attack. During multiplayer gameplay in Bonus mode, thirteen generators are spread throughout the map. This version of Forest Jump features two checkpoint lines and nine switches.
The overall structure of the course is the same as the level in Rayman M, with the exclusion of the first part of the race where the whole left alternative route has been removed. Additionally, the first upper alternative route has been replaced with sliding chutes and the big pools of leaves now feature not only bumpers, but also speed boosters. Other minor changes include lessened amount of retractable planks, Purple Lums added right before the second climbing wall, the added effect of the falling leaves, and baby Globoxes seen cheering for the competitors along the track.
Rayman Rush
In Rayman Rush, Forest Jump can be played in five modes: Training, Championship, Time Attack, Lums (54 Yellow Lums to collect) and Target (22 Popolopoïs to shoot). Two checkpoint lines and only four switches are included.
The general layout of the map is similar to the Rayman M version of the track, although many obstacles were changed or removed, making the course appear much more plain. The landscape is also much darker and emptier, creating a more eerie atmosphere to the forest. No Cullcuts or explosive barrels can be seen in this version of the Forest Jump and the retractable planks were replaced with floating wooden platforms that can be rotated by shooting a switch. Fewer alternative routes are featured, especially in the area of the third climbing wall where, in other versions of the level, a second separate alternative route is located.
