The Echoing Caves (Echoing Caves in the PlayStation version) is a level in Rayman 2: The Great Escape. This level allows the player to revisit a part of the Fairy Glade which was unreachable before (and where a Globox Crystal can be found in the Dreamcast version), via a secret passage, and introduces kegs which can be used as rocket to get across pools of acid.
Original versionPhase 1This part of the area is a rainy part of a forest, and has places where Rayman has to locate and turn on four switches in order to access a door which a Red Robo-pirate goes into at the very beginning of the level. This is another of few areas in the game where plums grow, and this part of the level also involves swimming. Phase 2Rayman is now underground, and has to cross a body of green liquid by using a keg as a rocket several times until he comes out into a area of cliffs and sand similar of Whale Bay. The passage to the Fairy Glade is found in the underground area and is accessed by rocketing over there with a keg.

PlayStation 2 versionMany changes have been applied to this level as far as level design is concerned. For a start, the segment from The Precipice in which Rayman has to climb up a sinking tower, is used as its first phase. The rest then returns to normal, with the exception of the passageway that previously lead to a hidden section of the Fairy Glade.
