Tomb of the Ancients

The Tomb of the Ancients is a location in the world of Rayman 2: The Great Escape.

The Tomb of the Ancients, in short, is a haunted graveyard within a cave. There are many tombstones and wooden pirate replicas around here. The place is filled with green, poisonous water. The walls and ground are made of dark rock with a bluish tinge on them. You can hardly ever see any sky here, although when you can, you see a blackened, creepy sky adorned with a full moon. This place is haunted by Zombie Chickens, piranhas and bats.

In Rayman 2: The Great Escape/Rayman Revolution/Rayman DS, the Pirates use this place for one of their strongholds, meaning a lot of wood and Robo-Pirates themselves.

phase 1

On some versions you get a small clip of Razorbeard lackey telling razorbeard that Rayman has retrieved the Third mask. Razorbeard gets really angry and tells his lackey to make sure he doesnt get the next one. You start of on some stairs once you climb down there is a sign saying " clark was captured here before being brought to technical checkup." You then have to hit a switch that will open the door. Once through the door a spider will chase you. Once he is killed you have to go down ( were there are two spiders one big one small, here you have to get a switch for the first platfform that you will need later) and if you want to go back up were there are about six lums on the entier ring. If you want to head on you have to go on top of the pillars at the end and go through *warning* piranhas . climb up the web and you will find yourself in a room with three places to go. First go left climb up the web activate switch(this will raise platform 2)Beware of spider,pirate henchmen, and the creeepy arm. When you get back to the room go right this time you will find yourself in a grave yard. the switch is hidden. After all of that you go to the room and go up. Climb up the web and theres a hole which you jump into. there is also a secret passage if you fly left, but find that out your self.

Phase 2

Hit the cog a few times and the door will open jump onto the floating barrel, at the end climb up web and get to the other side of electricity fence. jump onto the next barrel and climb up the web. Now it's time to fly using the barrel and the fire together. you can fly to the next platform and then get the other barrel and fly all the way. (in some versions)On the next platform you stop at you will have to drop down onto the barrel and and walk across a web with lots of Zombie chicken. Drop onto another barrel keep swimming.

Phase 3

Here you will find yourself on a small platform jump onto the floating barrel, at the end there will be a pirate throwing kegs at you after defeating him climb up the stronghold. There will be a henchman inside after killing him jump onto the purple lum and climb up.

Phase 4

The final bossfight, there will be a small video showing Clark and Rayman. It shows that Clark isnt his usual self and is being controled by Razor Beards lackey. To destroy the robotic control box on his back Rayman must activate all the switches which will activate a laser , Clark trips over it and is on his back that is the time that you shoot his back. After victory rayman gets the cage. End of level.

Also, if Rayman has destroyed any Robo-Pirates, and revisits the place, they will be replaced by zombie pirates.
