Jacquouilles,[1] also simply known as Livingstones[2], are a variation of Lividstones found as enemies in Rayman Legends, Rayman Adventures and Rayman: The Board Game. Their internal name is a reference to Jacquouille la Fripouille, a character from the French fantasy comedy film Les Visiteurs.
Description
With the exception of their clothes, Jacquouilles are physically identical to the Lividstones from Rayman Origins: they are bald and thin creatures with green skin, a mustache and a crooked nose.
Most Jacquouilles wear blue hats with a red feather, a small sleeveless brown unbuttoned shirt, brown wristbands, and a pair of patched blue pants held by a rope. The only exception is those found in Castle Rock, who wear a red bandana on their heads, and black pants rather than blue. Their main weapons are planks with pointy nails, and their parachutes allow them to ambush the heroes. According to an early concept art for Rayman Legends, it appears that a third kind of Jacquouille, styled after stereotypical Egyptians, was planned for the game, but eventually scrapped for unknown reasons.

Appearances
Rayman Legends
Jacquouilles first appear as enemies in Rayman Legends. While physically identical to the Lividstones from Rayman Origins, they wear different clothes and are no longer explorers, but rather a gang of bandits who break into the houses of the helpless Green Teensies who inhabit the area.
Like most enemies and all Lividstones, Jacquouilles take only one hit to defeat. Those that appear on top of other, stacked Jacquouilles and sing instead of attacking the heroes are more easily defeated. In the Wii U, PlayStation Vita and Nintendo Switch versions, Murfy can interact with Jacquouilles by cutting their parachutes, and stun them to let the other players attack them; he can also grab them and move them wherever he wants.
In the Back to Origins levels, the Lividstones retain their appearance from Rayman Origins and are not replaced with Jacquouilles.

Rayman Adventures
Jacquouilles return as enemies in Rayman Adventures, where they look identical to those from Rayman Legends. They are also the ones who set off the events in the game, as shown in the introduction scene, where two Jacquouilles are seen stealing the Ancient Eggs from the roots of the Sacred Tree. Then, they flee in their flying ships with all of the eggs, only for one of them to fall down and land on either Rayman or Barbara, depending on the player's choice.
Jacquouilles can be found as enemies in Medieval Mayhem and Toad Story. They occupy areas such as the castle grounds, enchanted forests, dark dungeons, and haunted manors. They attacks the heroes with nailed planks and by parachuting from above.
It also appears that Jacquouilles and Toads are at war with each other. No longer allied by the Dark Teensies, Jacquouilles and Toads fight for territory. In many levels of Toad Story in Rayman Adventures, Jacquouilles invade the territory of the Toads. Within the levels, either Jacquouilles and Toads show signs of winning the battles, but due to the player interfering, they usually end in a stalemate with a Francky and an Oger preparing to fight each other only to have the player defeat both of them.
Lividstones that have their Rayman Origins design also return in some levels of Rayman Adventures.

Rayman: The Board Game
Jacquouilles are set to be included as enemies in Rayman: The Board Game. They will appear in the Forest board. One also appears on the Smasher Player card.
Rayman Legends Retold
Jacquouilles return in Rayman Legends Retold, now simply known as Livingstones.[2] They reprise their roles from the original game as the most common enemies in the Old Teensie Kingdom.
Livingstones also appear in the Land of the Livid Dead, now corrupted by the new villain and covered in darkness. By using the Power of Light on them, the heroes can cleanse their corruption and leave them vulnerable to attacks.
