Spiky platforms are a type of floating plant that appears in Rayman Origins. They are dark blue in colour and have a round red centre. The player can stand on top of the spiky platform, but its underside is covered with deadly radiating spikes. As an additional complication, spiky platforms descend a certain distance when the player stands on them, and rise to their original position only when the player steps off. If manipulated properly, they can be used to bubblize enemies.
Similar spiky platforms with a pair of eyes, onto which Rayman can step, appear in the Caves of Skops in the original game.
