Missiles are enemies that appear in Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends, and Rayman Fiesta Run.
Description
Missiles are large living creatures, which always wear an evil smile. They are often fired at the heroes by hunters, who no longer fire bullets like they did in the original Rayman game. They are also constantly fired from devices mounted on pipes in some levels.
In Rayman Origins
There are two different types of missiles, one being blue, and the other being a red homing missile. The blue missile is less dangerous; it can only move horizontally, and it can be used as a platform in order to reach higher places. The red homing missile is much more dangerous; it moves much faster, and the heroes will need to avoid contact with it. A red homing missile will track the heroes for long time, though it will eventually explode if the heroes can avoid it for long enough; it will also explode if it collides with a solid object. It is possible to destroy these bullets, by the defeating the enemies who fired them, or by shooting projectiles at them from a mosquito. It is also possible to have a red homing missile collide on the Hunter who sent it, which will unlock the Back At You! achievement / trophy.

In Rayman Legends
The missiles return in this game; they behave just like they do in Rayman Origins, with the addition of an orange one which behaves the same as the blue ones. They are also fired by hunters in this game, but they only appear in levels from the Back to Origins painting. The Armored Toad shoots groups of orange and red missiles during the battle against the heroes. Red homing missiles also appear in some parts of 20,000 Lums Under the Sea, as well as some blue ones; they are fired out of small devices which are mounted on pipes.

In Rayman Fiesta Run
Missiles are fired by hunters, which appear in the levels "Scrambled eggs" and "Aerial battle!". They behave the same as the blue missiles from Rayman Origins, except they are orange ice shaped missiles in this game.

Trivia
- The missiles could have possibly been inspired by Bullet Bill from the Super Mario series, as they are also living creatures which are quite similar.
- In some artwork, along with on the pop-up box and in the artbook from the collector's edition of Rayman Origins, hunters are seen firing green and purple missiles, which do not appear in the final version of the game. The green missiles are reminiscent to the bullets fired by the Hunters in the original Rayman game.
