Blowfish are round, orange fish that appear in Rayman Origins and the Back to Origins painting in Rayman Legends.

Description

Despite their seemingly harmless appearance, blowfish are dangerous underwater enemies with the ability to inflate, exposing their sharp spikes when the heroes get too close to them. In order to defeat them, the heroes must quickly perform an underwater spin attack before they get a chance to inflate; if the blowfish inflates, the heroes will need to move away and wait until they deflate again. Like most of the enemies, blowfish only require one hit to be bubblized. During mosquito sequences, blowfish are impossible to inhale by a mosquito, as their enormous spikes can harm the heroes; however, they can be defeated with four mosquito shots.

In Rayman Origins

They are common enemies that can be found in the Sea of Serendipity and the Angsty Abyss, as well as in the Outta My Way level from the Ticklish Temples.

In Rayman Legends

Blowfish return in Rayman Legends, where they appear in the Sea of Serendipity from the Back to Origins painting. Their appearance and behavior are the same as they were in Rayman Origins.

Notes

  1. The exact resistance of blowfish is 0.25 hit point. They take one mosquito shot to defeat.
