Dark Teensies are the main antagonists in Rayman Legends, and a boss in Rayman: The Board Game.

Appearance

Due to being replicas of the Magician, they share his appearance.

In Rayman Legends

The introduction of Rayman Legends shows that the Magician, the main antagonist of Rayman Origins, multiplied into five evil creatures known as the Dark Teensies. These Dark Teensies spread throughout the Glade of Dreams, looking for revenge and causing chaos with the help of the evil nightmares. They also exhibit magical abilities, such as being able to create forcefields for their flying machines, and being able to transform the heroes into ducks temporarily. They have tamed even the fiercest of the nightmares, like Seabreather. At the end of each world, Rayman and his friends must send these Dark Teensies to the moon with a charged punch. Once sent to the moon, they are tortured by creatures of unknown origin, a reference to the 1902 French sci-fi silent film A Trip to the Moon (Le Voyage dans la Lune). They are seen in the credits as Rayman and friends celebrate the defeat of the nightmares and a new era of peace in the Glade.

In Rayman: The Board Game

A Dark Teensy is set to appear as a Level 2 Boss in Rayman: The Board Game. Only one of his Special Attack cards have been unveiled, and his Boss card and other Special Attack cards have yet to be revealed.

  • Bad Influence: All Teensies (referring to the Teensy Prisoners, not the playable Teensies) move back 2 spaces and can be placed on any level.

Trivia

A vehicle from an early version of Rayman 3 which is similar to that of the Dark Teensies.
  • The Dark Teensy's flying vehicle was likely inspired by an early concept artwork for Rayman 3.
