- "Absolem-ly wonderful" is a reference to Absolem, the name given to the caterpillar in the 2010 film adaptation of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland.
- "Atomic mushroom" is a pun on atomic bomb.
- Furthermore, the name of the track for the level on RayTunes is "The Mushroom Cloud", the name of a cloud made from an explosion, notably those of atomic bombs.
- "Centipede" may be a reference to the 1980 video game of the same name.
- The rolling boulder found in "Back to the roots" is a reference to the iconic rolling boulder scene from the Indiana Jones film Raiders of the Lost Ark.
