The Mechanical Dragon is the fourth boss of Rayman Legends. It is a hovering mechanical serpent-like dragon controlled by a Dark Teensy. It is encountered in 20,000 Lums Under the Sea.

Appearance

It is a mechanical serpent with many spikes on its body and a laser jewel in its mouth. It has hundreds of legs on its body, much like Creveton from Rayman Origins or Seabreather from the previous level. Its relationship with the latter is unknown.

In Rayman Legends

In Rayman Legends, the Mechanical Dragon is encountered as the boss of 20,000 Lums Under the Sea, where it is controlled by a Dark Teensy. The Mechanical Dragon's one weakness is its jewel, which must be broken by attacking it when exposed using the Flying Punch.

The Mechanical Dragon was first shown in a playable demo which is not available for download. The whole boss level was a playable level together with the music level Mariachi Madness from the Fiesta de los Muertos. This boss level was then showed again in a “behind the scenes” video where the engine of Rayman Legends was explained and shown how it works. In this first version, the Dark Teensy was not on the destroyed robot's remains like in the final version but on a platform away from them.

In Rayman: The Board Game

The Mechanical Dragon is set to appear as a Level 2 boss in Rayman: The Board Game's 5-6 player Expansion Pack. Its boss cards have yet to be revealed.
