Dodge Fireballs, escape hazards and push other players around, it’s the law of the jungle!—Description, Ubisoft Nano
Rayman's Incrediballs Dodge was a browser-based game available on the Ubisoft Nano platform, a collection of HTML5 party games.
The game was released in August 2021 and was playable at nano.ubisoft.com/RaymansIncrediballsDodge/index.html until the platform was shut down in early 2024.
Gameplay
Players controlled different Incrediballs, with more than 20 families unlockable through various means. While Rayman was not initially included in the game, he was added as a playable character in December 2021.[1] Shayman was likewise added in March 2022.[2]
Matches took place in a large arena divided into a 15x15 grid of squares. The goal was to be the last player standing by dodging hazards and eliminating opponents. Players started with three hearts and could take damage from pitfalls, thorn bushes, and projectiles crossing the arena horizontally or vertically. The arena also shrank at regular intervals, damaging players caught on the outer edges and forcing them to respawn. Other hazards included static obstacles that blocked movement and plants that temporarily immobilized players.
Various power-ups could be found in the arena, such as hearts that restored health, shields that provided temporary protection, and boxing gloves that allowed players to push opponents over the edge of the grid. Lums served as the in-game currency and could be collected to unlock more Incrediballs.
Rayman's Incrediballs Dodge also featured general, weekly, and daily leaderboards.
Upon completing or losing a match, the game displayed the player's rank, the match duration, and the total Lums collected on a scoreboard. It then calculated and broke down the earned Lums based on three categories: Gameplay, Achievement and Mode Bonus.
Shutdown
In early 2024, the Ubisoft Nano platform was silently discontinued, rendering all of its games unplayable. As a result, Rayman's Incrediballs Dodge became unavailable, joining the list of unplayable and potentially lost Rayman media. However, a third-party website hosting a fully functional version of the game was later discovered. Notably, this version populates multiplayer lobbies with bot players using fake usernames.
