Rayman vs Cullcut is a French-language Internet game that was available to play in late 2001, around the same time as when Rayman M was released.
Overview
Rayman was captured by the pirates! He's about to be devoured by Cullcut, the tin-making machine! Help Rayman and his friends escape before they are turned into lunch!
Gameplay
Razorbeard, a Henchman 800 and a Henchman 1000 each try to reach and pull one of three levers in the level in order to lower a cage, in which Rayman is held captive, towards a Cullcut located at the bottom, in an attempt to have Rayman get eaten. At the same time Razorwife is leading a baby Globox towards the Cullcut and trying to push it into its mouth. In order to prevent the Baby Globox and Rayman to get eaten, the player has to type in the words that are appearing on the screen. The words appear as soon as an enemy enters the screen; only in the case of Razorwife the player has to press Enter beforehand. If the word is typed in correctly and in time, the respective enemy disappears and the score increases. Not saving a baby Globox has no negative consequences for the player. However, saving them increases the score and rises the cage up to the maximum height. After every ten defeated enemies, not counting Razorwife, the difficulty level increases by one, with the limit being level 10. The higher the level, the longer the words appearing on the screen. When an enemy reaches a lever, he will pull it in order to lower the cage. The more levers are activated simultaneously, the faster the cage will move down. Once the cage is lowered far enough for Cullcut to grab it, the game ends and the final score is presented, as well as the difficulty level reached and the number of enemies defeated.
