Large-eyed fish are fish from the original game that are orange with white stripes, and have oversized eyes. They appear in the Caves of Skops, in the last phase of Eat at Joe's. They are one of three species of fish in these waters. Large-eyed fish are the only ones who are inoffensive and do not interact with anything. They are barely noticeable in all versions except in the PlayStation version of the game, where the water is transparent. They swim back and forth passively over a short distance and serve as decorative background characters. They may function as a distraction from knowing where the aggressive large-mouthed fish will attack the player.
