Walking drums are a peaceful species found in some versions of the original Rayman game, Maths and English with Rayman and Rayman Designer. They are only present in Band Land.

Walking drums have the appearance of a grey drum with swimming flippers and diving goggles. They freely wander on their platform, turning back and forth whenever they reach an obstacle. When Rayman jumps onto them, they stop moving and let him bounce on them. Walking drums cannot hurt Rayman.

In the Atari Jaguar, PlayStation and Sega Saturn versions of the original Rayman game, walking drums are found in the first part of Bongo Hills as well as in the third part of Allegro Presto. They are absent from the PC version, with the exception of version 1.0 of the game, in which the walking drum from Allegro Presto can still be found.

In Rayman Designer, steady versions of walking drums, which do not move, can be placed as events.
