Cymbals are a type of malevolent musical instrument found in Band Land, the second world of the original Rayman game. Only one pair of cymbals is known to exist; it is located near the end of the first phase of Mr Sax's Hullaballoo. They can be used to travel above heights, by jumping on the lower cymbal and indicating the direction by placing Rayman on the left or right edges. However, he must return to the hollow centre of the instrument when it starts vibrating; otherwise he will get squashed.
Cymbals return in Rayman Designer as an enemy event which can only be used in Band Land.
-
Cymbals, as they appear in the original Rayman game.
-
Cymbals have the unfortunate habit of squashing Rayman.
