Trumpets are creatures found in the original Rayman game, Rayman Junior, Rayman Designer and the Game Boy Color version of Rayman.
In Rayman and its spin-offs
In this game, trumpets are averagely resistant, static enemies found in Band Land. All they do is sneeze at Rayman or yawn at him, depending on their type, when he is in their sight. The yawning type cause Rayman to be sucked in their direction, and the sneezing type cause him to be blown away. This will not hurt him directly, and will have no effect at all unless he is on a slippery platform or in the air. They can be dangerous and make him fall, but their help is sometimes needed to reach otherwise inaccessible places.
In the Atari Jaguar version of the original Rayman game, their behavior pattern is different due to the fact that the musical bars are not slippery. Rayman will still be blown away by their attacks, but often their sneezing has no effect.
They are usually protected behind vertical recorders, which are common in Band Land, but they can be eliminated easily when they face Rayman.
Oddly, they have shoes identical to Rayman's.
In Rayman Designer, there are six types of trumpet events to choose from in the editor.
- Steady blowing trumpet on the left - Blows to the left
- Steady blowing trumpet on the right - Blows to the right
- Steady drawing up trumpet to the left - Inhales to the left
- Steady drawing up trumpet to the right - Inhales to the right
- Steady blowing trumpet - Blows while walking

In the Game Boy Color version of Rayman
In this game, trumpets[1] appear in Airy Tunes, though their appearance is closer to that of bulb horns.
The first type, blowing trumpets, are yellow in color and possess a pair of feet. They blow Rayman away from them, like most of the trumpets from the original game.
The second type, vertical trumpets, sport a red bulb and a yellow horn, and have no feet. When Rayman jumps on them, he causes them to rise. If he stops, the vertical trumpet will start to descend slowly towards the ground, so he must keep jumping until he gets as high as he can. Rayman can move the vertical trumpet left or right by punching in the opposite direction of the way he wants to go.
