Shooting Me Softly is the seventh and last level of the Desert of Dijiridoos, the second world in Rayman Origins. It acts as a transition between the Desert of Dijiridoos and the Gourmand Land, in a similar way to the first part of Bongo Hills in the PC and its ports version of the original Rayman game. This is the third level from this world and twelfth overall that's included in the Back to Origins mode in Rayman Legends.

Shortly into the level, with heavy winds, Rayman reaches the mosquito. As they fly through the level, they must face Helmet Birds, many groups of small yellowish-orange birds, and Red Birds, while avoiding big, spiky birds. The two must also avoid crushing pillars with spiky balls. At times, the mosquito must shoot drums to bounce its shots into other things, such as switches to stop wind being blown from vents that blocks the players from continuing. Eventually, there are swarms of bats to deal with; the mosquito must shoot the smiling yellow circles in order to scare them off and open a path for the two to continue.

After this, they reach the area that appears to be the end of the transition of the two worlds. It starts off with nothing but clouds, but clears up to show the ocean in the background with glaciers and ice formations. Here, Rayman and the mosquito must avoid a herd of bombs that explode when shot, and then they fly through icy passages and must avoid spiky fruits. After a short time of dodging the spiky fruits, the screen starts to move faster, and the floor and ceiling move to meet each other, requiring the mosquito to move quickly in order to avoid getting crushed. After this, Rayman is able to get off the mosquito, and after going through the next door, he can break the Electoon cage to end the level. Then the players will pose on the photoboard as the Magician waits for the total amount of Lums that were collected in the level.

In the Back to Origins version, there isn't many differences between the original version; except of the notable elements from Rayman Legends replacing some of the elements from Origins.
