Riding the Storm is the first level of the Moody Clouds, a world in Rayman Origins. In this level, Rayman and the team will ride on the mosquitoes to get through the stormy weather. This level can only be played if the Four Kings are saved. This is the first level from this world and thirty-fifth overall that's included in the Back to Origins mode in Rayman Legends.

Original version

This level begins on the snowy top of Mystical Pique, where there are four Teensies and the five nymphs. The Teensies go around the middle nymph, Helena Handbasket, repeatedly bowing, while she says a few words, activating the nearby gate. Then, Rayman and his friends go through the gate, getting taken up into the clouds in a ball of light. Up in the clouds, it is very stormy. The Magician is here, and if the players jump on his hat, he warns them that it is dangerous and not to proceed. The heroes continue anyway, and past a few clouds shooting out lightning, they reach the mosquitoes, which they ride on for the rest of the level.

As the team rides the mosquitoes, they must avoid clouds with lightning shooting between them at first, and then an airship shows up in the background. It shoots helicopter bombs into the foreground. The heroes and the mosquitoes must avoid these, small fly enemies, and more clouds shooting lightning. After quite a while, large fly enemies show up, as well. As the team goes through this area, strange structures can be seen in the background, some quite large. There appears to be more structures as the team progresses further into the level, with the largest being at the end. Eventually the heroes reach an area with pipe-like structures all around. Here, they must face turrets and machines that shoot electricity between each other in addition to the small and large flies. After a while, they must avoid red missiles, as well. Right after this, the team is able to get off the mosquitoes, break open an Electoon cage, and finish the level. They will then pose on the photoboard as the Magician waits for the total amount of Lums that were collected.

Back to Origins

In the Back to Origins version, there aren't many differences between the original version; except of the notable elements from Rayman Legends replacing some of the elements from Origins.

The start of the level.	Rayman flying between dark clouds.
Several new Lums have been added in the level.	Two Purple Lum chains
Helicopter bombs can be inhaled or destroyed.	Rayman shooting an inhaled enemy.

Rayman will have to time his movement to avoid the lightning.	A heart can be collected from the bottle.	A cannon shooting fire.
Shooting the gear will open the gate.	Several more cannons shooting fire.	The second Teensie in the level.
A bunch of red missiles.	A Purple Lum chain.	The end of the level.
