Grumbling Grottos

To Bubblize a Mocking Bird is the seventh and final level of the Grumbling Grottos, a world in Rayman Origins. It consists of a boss battle against the Mocking Bird, the second of the four Kings that were turned into monsters and that Rayman and his team of friends must defeat in order to restore them to their original forms. This level is the fifth one from this world and sixteenth overall that is included in the Back to Origins mode in Rayman Legends.

Original version

The battle begins with Rayman and his team pulling on the sleeping Mocking Bird's tail, waking it. It then yells and flies off to the side. Shortly after, it returns and flies over the team with a bubo on its rear end. After the bubo has been hit, there is an updraft, and the Mocking Bird hits the platform the players were on, causing it to collapse. The heroes must then use their glide power to ride the updraft and avoid the Mocking Bird as it charges across the screen, followed by several small birds. Afterwards, it returns, hitting its head against the overhang above. This stuns the Mocking Bird momentarily while a bubo grows on its head. Once a player hits the second bubo, the Mocking Bird will hit its head once more; then, the team must head downwards. Here, they will encounter the Mocking Bird again and must avoid spiky bird enemies as the Mocking Bird sucks in air and spins in a circle. Once it stops spinning, a player must pull its tail, causing the Mocking Bird to become stunned again and grow a bubo on its tongue. After this third bubo is hit, the battle is over, and the Mocking Bird returns to normal to end the level. The team will then pose on the photoboard as the Magician counts the number of Lums that were collected.

This level is playable in the Back to Origins mode in Rayman Legends. There are no notable differences between the versions apart from those present in every other Back to Origins level.
