Riding the Storm

Riding the Storm is the first level of the Moody Clouds, a world in Rayman Origins. In this level, Rayman and his team ride on mosquitoes to get through the stormy weather. It can only be played once all four Kings have been saved. It is the first level from this world and the thirty-fifth overall to be included in the Back to Origins mode in Rayman Legends.

This level begins on the snowy top of Mystical Pique, where four Teensies and the five nymphs are gathered. The Teensies repeatedly bow as the nymphs recite incantations, activating the nearby portal. Then, the heroes go through the portal, which takes them up into the clouds in a ball of light. Up in the clouds, it is very stormy. The Magician is present here, and if the heroes jump on his hat, he warns them that it is dangerous here and to not proceed. The heroes continue anyway, and past a few clouds shooting lightning, they reach the mosquitoes, which they ride on for the rest of the level.

As the team rides the mosquitoes, they first have to avoid clouds shooting lightning. Afterwards, a warship appears in the background, which shoots helicopter bombs into the foreground. The heroes and the mosquitoes must avoid them, as well as small mecha flies and more clouds shooting lightning. After a while, big mecha flies appear as well. As the team goes through this area, large structures can be seen in the background. More of them appear as the team progresses further into the level, with the largest at the end. Eventually, the heroes reach an area with structures made of pipes all around. Here, they must face turrets and machines that generate electric arcs between each other, as well as small and big mecha flies. After a while, they must avoid red live missiles as well. Immediately after this, the team is able to get off the mosquitoes, break open an Electoon cage, and finish the level. They then pose on the photoboard as the Magician counts the total number of Lums collected in this level.

This level is playable in the Back to Origins mode in Rayman Legends. There are no notable differences between the versions apart from elements from Rayman Legends replacing some from the original game.
