The Shock Rocket, also known simply as the Rocket, is a power first used by Rayman in Rayman 3, and later in Rayman in the Phantom Show, the third DLC of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. The Shock Rocket is a temporary power used on several occasions by Rayman in Rayman 3. It is provided by the orange cans of Laser-Washing Powder and allows Rayman to shoot a guided missile which can be used to defeat enemies and trigger mechanisms. It lasts 6 seconds. To shoot it, Rayman first aims to the place where he wants to shoot it, and then shoots it. The player has total control of the missile until the effect of the can is over, the missile reaches his lenght limit, or just explodes against something. Using the missile in battle is effective and avoids direct combat, but requires being hidden on a place where Hoodlums can't find or shoot Rayman, because launching the missile and taking control of it makes Rayman completely vulnerable to every kind of attack.

Official artwork depicting Rayman shooting a Shock Rocket, without the colours of the combat fatigue.

The Shock Rocket, also known simply as the Rocket, is a power first used by Rayman in Rayman 3, and later in Rayman in the Phantom Show, the third DLC of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope. It allows him to fire and remotely control a missile connected to one of his fists.

In Rayman 3

One of your fists turns into a torpedo. First, press the C Key or the Right Mouse Button to arm it. Then press the Button again to launch it. Next, use the directional arrows or the left analog stick to direct it. This fist is very useful for reaching targets that are very far away.
—Manual (UK PC version), Rayman 3
The Shock Rocket packs a serious wallop and can be guided around corners to destroy stuff - perfect for hitting hard-to-reach levers, buttons, and unsuspecting Hoodlums. Check out the Target Practice area to hone your rocket skills.
—Manual (US version), Rayman 3

In Rayman 3, the Shock Rocket is provided by the orange cans of Laser-Washing Powder, and allows Rayman to shoot a guided missile which can be used to defeat enemies and trigger mechanisms. It lasts 6 seconds, making it the second shortest Laser-Washing Powder power-up (shortest one being the Throttle Copter). Rayman first chooses the direction, then shoots the missile, which triggers the countdown as if he was not standing near the can any more. Then, the player has total control of the missile until either the effect of the can has worn off, or the missile collides with something and explodes. Using the missile in battle is effective and avoids direct combat, but may require being hidden in a place where Hoodlums cannot find or shoot at Rayman, as he is vulnerable to attacks when in control of the Shock Rocket.

When Rayman acquires this power, his hair, gloves, hood and base of shoes turn blue, while his body and shoes turn orange. His right hand has a launcher-glove with a big orange and blue missile attached to it. An advertisement for Rayman 3 and promotional material for the game depict Rayman using the Shock Rocket without changing his clothes.

A glitch involving the Shock Rocket is triggered when the player enters the snapshot mode and fires the rocket. This allows the player to control the missile indefinitely and to pass through walls.

In Rayman in the Phantom Show

Rayman's Rocket costume unleashes high-powered explosive attacks using its Rocket Blaster and Rocket Guards while causing mayhem on the battlefield with its Rocket Ride.
—In-game description, Rayman in the Phantom Show

The Shock Rocket returns in Rayman in the Phantom Show, the third DLC of Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope, where it is just known as the Rocket. When equipped, Rayman passively gains an immunity to all super effects, as well as upgrading his Blaster and Plunger Guard, now called Rocket Blaster and Rocket Guard, to create an explosion when fired. He also gains a new ability, the Rocket Ride, which acts similarly to the Shock Rocket in Rayman 3. When launched, a ghost of Rayman rides atop the remote-controlled rocket, moving across the battlefield and knocking any enemies in its path away. If the player detonates it on command or if it runs out of fuel, the rocket will explode, dealing damage to any enemies and/or covers in its blast radius. It can also be upgraded to apply the Burn super effect upon detonation. The costume lasts 1 turn when activated, and has a 3-turn cooldown.

Notes

 1. In the concept art shown above, the description notes it is for the Heavy Metal Fist power-up. Given visual evidence to the contrary, this wiki has opted to take this discrepancy as an error on the part of the publisher of its source.
 2. The inconsistent capitalization across localizations has been standardized here.
