The many Teensies are collectively ruled by the Grand Minimus, who reside deep within the Fairy Council.
In Rayman 3, most Teensies have taken the role previously held by Electoons in the original Rayman game and Denys, Ludivs, Greenbottles, etc. in the many versions of Rayman 2. Though a few Teensies such as the Grand Minimus and the Teensie doctors have a role in the game's plot and are found elsewhere, most Teensies are found by destroying a cage. If Rayman destroys enough cages in a world, his HP Bar will increase its maximum capacity.

Female Teensies have yet to make an appearance in any game so far, and so it is unknown how similar they are to their male counterparts.  Female Teensies are only subtly alluded to in Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc, in which some Teensies will grumble about needing to attend to their children (of which also have never appeared in any game).  Though there exists the possibility that Teensies are hermaphroditic, it is generally regarded that the existence of Teensie wives is more likely.

Teensies take a major role in the game Rayman Origins. There Teensies join Rayman as playable characters, though players can only choose two of them from the beginning of the game (Green Teensy and Goth Teensy), as the others can be unlocked after collecting a certain amount of Electoons. While there are only 3 playable members of Globox's species and 3 playable members of Rayman's species, Teensies seem to be the majority with 11 playable characters.
In Rayman 3, most Teensies have taken the role previously held by Electoons in Rayman and Denys, Ludivs, Greenbottles, etc. in the many versions of Rayman 2. If Rayman destroys enough cages in a world, his HP Bar will increase its maximum capacity.

Unlike the Red Wizards, whose devotion to the Bubble Dreamer is exaggerated, the Teensies coexist with him in a more fraternal and casual way, as at the beginning of the story, Rayman, Globox, the Grand Minimus and the Goth Teensy can be seen taking a nap at the Snoring Tree with the Bubble Dreamer. The big noses of the Teensies are revealed to have a real purpose; as the Bubble Dreamer has certain appreciation for the music created with snores, he decided to create the Teensies with big nostrils, not only to perceive the harmony of the magic, but also to perform schnoz-ballads to entertain him.

Mr Dark and the Photographer were at some point intended to appear in the game as Teensies but they were scrapped during development and do not appear in the final game.

In Rayman Legends
Teensies make a return in Rayman Legends. All of the Teensies from Rayman Origins (with the exception of the Green Teensy) appear alongside two new Teensies, the Teensy Hermit and the Golden Teensy, as playable characters. This time, many other Teensies (some of them being represented as generic Green Teensies) take the role of victims who were caught by the nightmares, and up to ten of them must be saved on each level by Rayman and his friends. These Teensies are scattered everywhere across the levels and can be found imprisoned in cages, tied to posts, or in the clutches of certain enemies. While some of them are easy to find, two Teensies, a King and a Queen, are usually hidden in secret areas that the team of heroes must traverse through in order to free them. Some of these secret areas have certain tasks that need to be completed, like kicking a soccer ball or rotating the area with the help of Murfy. Some Teensies cannot be freed in the traditional manner and are instead found by scratching off lucky tickets. Teensies assume the role of the Electoons from the original Rayman game and Rayman Origins, in a similar way how they did in previous games like Rayman 2 and Rayman 3. This is the first game in the Rayman series to fully introduce a wide variation of Teensy families, including females and children.

There are a total of 700 Teensies to be saved in the game, and once they are all free, the player is rewarded with 150,000 Lums, plus a playable golden Teensy is unlocked. Each Teensy gives the player 25 Lums when he or she is rescued, while Kings and Queens also give the players a heart each in all levels in which ten Teensies need to be rescued. When the player revisits a level, any Teensy that has already been rescued appears golden, but they will still give Lums when they are rescued again; the Kings and Queens stand outside their respective rooms appearing normal, but are found golden if the players revisit the rooms.

In Rayman Adventures
Teensies appear in Rayman Adventures, both as playable characters and as victims the player has to rescue in various levels. Teensies usually appear in exploration levels, either in cages, tied to ropes, being held by enemies or on rockets. Sometimes there's a time limit in which the player has to rescue the Teensies, most notably in the time levels, but also in various exploration levels such as when the Teensies are attached to rockets.

In Rayman Mini
In the trailer of Rayman Mini, the Flaming Teensy can be seen casting a spell on Rayman, making him shrink in size. The premise of the game is that Rayman must traverse the available worlds to find a way to reverse the spell. While the intro is never shown in the game, the Flaming Teensy is the final boss, appearing in the very last level.

A number of Teensies were made playable in the 1.2.0 update. In the 1.4.0 update, one of Mr Dark's contracts has the player free Teensies locked in cages in order to complete the level.

Teensies play a major role in Rayman: The Board Game. Not only are the Grand Minimus, the Teensy Queen, the Goth Teensy (Kickstarter-exclusive) and the First King available as playable characters, and a Dark Teensy available as a boss, four Teensies locked in cages are also featured in the game. The main objective of the game is to free three of the four Teensies and complete a full lap around the board first.

The Teensies are ancient and wise people who long ago built the Hall of Doors, that magical place where access is given to all the regions of the world. Very old and a little absent-minded, they have forgotten which of them is their King, and spend much of their time performing acrobatic dance moves to make the youngest green with envy.
These peaceful little fellows continue to find themselves trapped in cages, rather than singing and partying and ironing their clothes like they were planning to do. If you help them out, they might invite you back to their party!

The Teensies (singular Teensie or Teensy) are a magical race of ancient, diminutive and wise creatures, created by Polokus to watch over the secret ways of the Glade of Dreams. They are frequently encountered throughout the Rayman series, starting with Rayman 2.

Description

Teensies have pale blue-grey skin and are characterized by their faces, which generally appear quite large due to their long, drooping noses, which overlap their hidden mouths. Their noses are marked with elegant spiral patterns which are slightly darker that the rest of their skin, though these markings are only vaguely noticeable until Rayman M. Teensies have little, black, beady eyes and small, mitten-like hands that lack any fingers other than thumbs (except for Rayman 3 and Rayman Origins, in which they do have fingers). They are short compared to most of the Glade's inhabitants; to compensate for this, the Teensies in Rayman M stand, one on top of the other's shoulder.

The Teensies were created by Polokus to oversee the many passages of the world. After the fairies, they were the second race to be created, and as such are among the most ancient inhabitants of the world. Long before the events of the Rayman games, the Teensies created the Hall of Doors, a magic place where all paths eventually meet. Most, if not all Teensies have the ability to create Spiral Doors; these portals can quickly take a Teensie (or other character, such as Rayman) from one location to one another. The Teensies can harness the power of Yellow Lums collected by Rayman to create Spiral Doors or open sealed doors that lead Rayman to the Sanctuaries.

The many Teensies are collectively ruled by the four Grand Minimus Teensies, who reside deep within the Fairy Council, near the Heart of the World.

The Teensie race is a diverse one, and the personality and dialect of a Teensie widely depends on where it comes from. In general, many Teensies are talkative and fun-loving creatures who have a taste for disco. Many Teensies are very old, absent-minded and forgetful; when the Grand Minimus was locked in a cage with three other Teensies, they eventually forgot which one of them was King, and were forced to rule together to overcome this problem. The older Teensies spend their spare time performing acrobatic dance moves, in order to make the younger, less-experienced Teensies envious.

In Rayman Origins

Teensies have got flair! The Teensies’ innate talent for nocturnal schnoz-ballads comes quite simply from the Creator himself in the form of imposing noses. And bubble me if we haven’t seen the Teensies spin some wicked spells over the years! Their magnificent nostrils make them highly sensitive to the subtle harmonies of magic; and everyone knows that Teensy magicians can sniff out the secrets of our world like nobody’s business!

The Teensies are a cast of quick casters who have a proud history of producing many scrappy and memorable, not to mention, well-dressed fighters. (Teensies like to dress up and have treefuls of disguises.) You will be able to play as some of their most illustrious ancestors!

—Manual, Rayman Origins

Teensies take a major role in the game Rayman Origins. There Teensies join Rayman as playable characters, though players can only choose two of them from the beginning of the game (Green Teensy and Goth Teensy), as the others can be unlocked after collecting a certain amount of Electoons. While there are only 3 playable members of Globox's species and 3 playable members of Rayman's species, Teensies seem to be the majority with 11 playable characters.

Teensies, as they appear in Rayman Legends

In Rayman: The Board Game

Teensies play a major role in Rayman: The Board Game. Not only are the Grand Minimus, the Teensy Queen, the Goth Teensy (Kickstarter-exclusive) and the First King available as playable characters, and a Dark Teensy available as a boss, four Teensies locked in cages are also featured in the game. The main objective of the game is to free three of the four Teensies and complete a full lap around the board first.
