Torches are objects that appear in several Rayman games.
Appearances
Rayman

In the first Rayman game and several games derived from it, stone torches can be found in the Blue Mountains and the Caves of Skops. They appear in the form of basins mounted on a column, in which a large flame burns.
Torches can be found in the foreground, in which case they are made of a dark grey rock, or in the background, where they are a lighter grey. They cannot be interacted with.
In Rayman Designer, it is possible to integrate both foreground and background torches into the maps of the Mountain world and Cave world.

Rayman 2
In Rayman 2, the Robo-Pirates have fixed wooden torches to the walls and pillars of several buildings they have built. The size of the flame they produce varies.
While some simply act as a light source (non-dynamic), others are useful for Rayman: if he approaches them while carrying a powder keg, it ignites, allowing him to fly into the air. This method is essential for crossing certain areas, particularly in the Echoing Caves.
Torches are dangerous for Rayman if he has nothing in his hands: he must not get too close to them if he does not need them, nor jump in their direction, otherwise he will get burned and lose health.
