The super helicopter, also known as super helico, is a temporary power-up granted to Rayman that allows him to fly using his hair as opposed to simply gliding as is done with the normal helicopter ability.
In Rayman and its spin-offs
This power is yours when the Musician gives you the magic flask that activates it. It allows you to fly while retaining control of your direction.—Manual, Rayman
In the original Rayman game, the super helicopter power is received on four separate occasions: once in the first part of Mr Stone's Peaks, when Rayman is given the potion by the Musician, once in the second part of Mr Stone's Peaks, where Rayman is automatically given a potion upon spawning (this part is missing in the Atari Jaguar version), once in the first part of Eraser Plains, where a potion is spawned by a sparkling gendoor above the exit sign (this potion is absent in the NTSC Saturn version as well as in the PC version and its ports), and once in the second part of Pencil Pentathlon, where Rayman finds another potion at the start. It can be considered an upgrade to the helicopter power, as it allows Rayman to fly in the air with his hair. The super helicopter is also used by flying Antitoons.

In Rayman Designer
The super helicopter power returns in Rayman Designer. It can be set to be used during an entire level as one of the level's properties or once the player finds the super helicopter phial, which is the potion that gives Rayman the ability.
In the Game Boy Color version of Rayman
In the Game Boy Color version of Rayman, the super helicopter power is obtained on three occasions by eating a specific kind of a plant that gives Rayman the ability to fly: in the third part of Rocky Peaks, the fourth part of Fiery Depths and the fourth part of Dark Legacy.
In Rayman 2
In Rayman 2, when Rayman goes beneath the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava, Ly the Fairy appears before him and gives him a Silver Lum, which upgrades his helicopter to the super helicopter again, so that he can fly in the huge lava corridors. Unfortunately, at the end of the level, he loses this upgrade to Foutch, who punches him. In Rayman Revolution, the ability was partially restored, meaning that he could permanently hover only over pools of lava without loss of altitude. The power also is used during the battle against Grolem 13.

In Rayman 2 Forever
In Rayman 2 Forever, the Game Boy Color version of Rayman 2, Rayman uses his super helicopter power four times: in the Cave of Bad Dreams, the Echoing Caves, the Sanctuary of Rock and Lava and the Tomb of the Ancients. In all four cases, Ly appears at the start of the level and gives him the ability. It is presented as a permanent power-up, and it is never explained why it disappears at the end of each stage, or why it reappears when Rayman revisits the relevant stage.
In Rayman: The Animated Series
In Rayman: The Animated Series, in order to avoid a fatal fall after a steamroller falling off a cliff by accident, Rayman holds the gang and flies in the air in the No Parking episode. Since the power was not effective for a long time due to the weight carrying of the whole gang, everyone fell and crashed down into a house above Inspector Grub's.

Rayman saves his friends in Rayman: The Animated Series
In Rayman 3
In Rayman 3, the super helicopter ability was revisited in the form of the Throttle Copter, a type of Laser-Washing Powder which allows Rayman to fly for a short time using the propeller in his helmet. It is, of the five, the temporary power with the shortest time limit.

Rayman gets the Throttle Copter for the first time.
-

In the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3
In the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3, Rayman receives the power to fly with his helicopter as long as he collects a Blue Lum - small ones will let him fly for a little while, whereas large ones allow him to fly until the end of the level.
In Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge
In Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge, the super helicopter ability is once again revisited via the Throttle Copter. However, Rayman can now extend his flight time by collecting Blue Lums.

The Throttle Copter, as it appears in Rayman: Hoodlums' Revenge
In the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids
In the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman Raving Rabbids, the super helicopter is present and uses the same mechanics as in the Game Boy Advance version of Rayman 3. It does not appear, however, in the main console versions of Rayman Raving Rabbids.
In Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends and their spin-offs
In Rayman Origins, Rayman Legends and their spin-offs, there are no super helicopter power ups. However, its effect can still be recreated, as Rayman and his friends can fly in upward air currents, in a similar fashion to how one could gain altitude by flying in the air currents seen in the Fairy Glade in Rayman 2.
