Rayman is given his second power by Betilla the Fairy.

The ability to hang onto ledges is the second power that Rayman is bestowed by Betilla the Fairy in the original Rayman game, at the end of Anguish Lagoon. This power will always be available to Rayman in the following games, like the helicopter power.
